Fan adjustment

Post by kyleetchegoin »

I have a 2008 silverado with the vortec max. When I’m driving through the mountains while loaded with my camping gear the truck gets hot. Around 230-240 range. When that happens i pull over to let the truck cool. I’ve noticed that when i pull over i dont hear the fans running as fast as they should. My AC would be off so i would turn the AC on to kick the fans on high. As soon as the fans turn on high, the temp drops back down very quickly. How can I adjust the fans to come on high sooner so this doesn’t happen. I never had this problem with my 04 silverado. I know the 04 didn’t have E fans but you would think the truck with the E fans would cool better.
Thank you!

you can modify the preset tune you select and adjust the fan power at specific temps.
