Tow Tune VS 85HP Tune

Post by Shermanator »

New to the site, just installed the "tune" and I have to say I'm impressed! I've had a couple other chipped vehicles before but this is the first Diablo product and I've had and its awesome!
Couple questions, the Ver. of mine is 9r04, which appears to be the newest one but some of the guys are talking about a "economy" tune, mine does not have that on it, should it? Also, I have a 3000 lb camper I put on the truck (haven't tested the tune out with it on yet!) so I'm going to have it on the "tow tune" for that but, when the campers off would it be better to have it on the 85hp tune for better economy or leave it in the tow tune? One more thing, the error code P0603 comes up, normal for this unit? Thanks...........Sherm

The 85 HP tune is the economy/performance tune.

If towing over 8K pounds, Id use the tow tune for sure.

The P0603 is not uncommon on tuned 7.3s.

Trailers only 3K so I guess I can use the 85 tune for most of my driving. When I have the camper on and tow the trailer then tow tune for sure, thanks for the info.........Sherm
