Jesse,

I have had the Predator since my truck was born in 2005, and overall, I've had very little problems. My truck has not been reflashed. The only thing I would like to see is an increase in MPG's, and perhaps a little more power. I've tried every tune that has been available:
9r07
9t11b
8r17
8r20
8r13
Plus more.....

Currently running 9t11b, which was sent to me last year when I had cold start issues. Several of the other tunes just did not help on the mileage, and when I would press the brake when my cruise control was on, my truck would sound like it's going to blow up (tourque converter??).

Also, I have tried the economy(65 hp) and performance(100hp) for each of the above, and get better mileage on the 100hp tune.

I have tried all of the revisions back to 9r05 with the same results not much power or mileage...
The truck does have the new FICM flash.

Would be nice to get something that works.

Currently running 9r13 at the +100HP setting and geting better milage there than the +65HP tune. The problem with me running the +100HP tune is keeping my foot off the throttle. So in the end the milage is worse. I'd like to see better mileage out of the tunes.

I have
v8r17
vxap2q2

Got this tuner from my dad when he sold his truck. He got better fuel mileage on the 100hp tune than the 65. I am unable to run the 100hp tune because it goes to "bucking". Truck is a standard and when it does it its like im shifting too early and truck starts hopping around. I would really like to run the 100hp tune for better fuel mileage.

Id suggest you try one of the 20 or so updates we have released since 8r17. There have been many improvements to the tunes since then.
What year is this truck?

Ive had the prdator since i bought the truck in 2005 and it was fantastic up until th3 9R07 update. Every since then i get the "BUCKING" right around RI 60mph and its gets really bad when it shifts into overdrive and the rpms drop under 2000. It does it in every program and even effected my stock program. ive been sent a couple of CROMS from you guys back in 2009 but did not help. Cold morning starts are rough but seems to smooth out after letting it idle for approx 20 minutes. and i get the occasional trouble codes thrown when using the 60 or 100 hp tunes. the codes were cylinder contibution balance and i beleive ODBII not ready. Doesnt seem to throw codes on stock setting.

Mileage is my #1 issue. Performance is #2. I also have the bucking condition. Stock or with your tunes it is around 45mph. With a tune from SS it is around 50mph. It i hit the tow/haul button it goes away because of the RPM increase. What is a normal boost for the 6.0 at 60mph running empty on flat roads? I am always showing 8-10psi

I have a 2007 F-250 Diesel. Cal ID: VXCF4HB and Version V9R05. I currently have it on the 60hp setting. Is it suppose to smoke at all on this setting(Black or white)?

I've got an 2006 f250 6 speed cold air intake and 6" stacks no muffler on cat. cal id vxcf7m3 version 9r10 with the turbo brake custom tune. Love the turbo brake lost a little power from the regular 100 hp program to the 100hp turbo brake program. I'm getting 14 to 16 mpg around town 17 to 18 on the highway not really complaining about that. everyone else with a stock version of my truck in my town gets about 3 to 4 mpg less then i do.

Feature not available on this vehicle

Post by tjroane »

I just today replaced the FICM on my 2006 F350 6.0
I have been running the 100hp performance tune for a couple of years now but recently the truck had been running terrible, like it was starving for fuel (which it was). Before I swapped the FICM (the new FICM was programmed at the dealer just before I picked it up) out I restored the stock tune. When I tried to reinstall the performance tune I got the following message:

"Feature not supported on this vehicle. Call tech support with your CAL ID. Re-flash might be required. Press enter to view CAL ID". When I pressed enter to view CAL ID I received the following information:

CAL ID: ARZ2AL00
VXCF1D6 . HEX *
TQCJ0DW . HEX *

I have restored stock tune and reloaded the performance tune several times before with no issues until now. Does this have anything to do with the new FICM?

Please email reply to tjroane@yahoo.com if you can.
Thanks,
Terry.
