U7186 Update from v.09r08 to v.09r09 not working

I tried to update my Predator from version 09r08 to 09r09 the other day and followed all of th steps in the instruction manual to the word. I loaded the original tune back into my truck before I started. From the DS Downloader 2.2.2.6 I connect to the Predator just fine. I select the Express Tune Mode tab and click "Update Tool". Next I the select the v.09r09 CROM I downloaded from the website and click OK. Then it says "Setting up file" in the status bar at the bottom of the DS Downloader and sits there and never changes. I let it sit for over two hours yesterday and it never updated. Am I doing something wrong?

If it hepls I never make it past Step #7 of the install instructions. It never ask me to cycle power.

when you connect the predator to the computer it should automatically switch over to express tune mode when the tool is found. If you are having to do that your self that means the tool is not being found.

and you have a driver problem most likely.

please download and install this driver if you have a prolific chipset cable
www.diablosport.com/drivers

reboot computer , remove usb while rebooting then reinsert usb cable in and see if the cable installs correctly.

Ok I installed the driver that you reccommended and rebooted. This time when the DSDL found the tool it automatically went to the Express Tune Mode tab. I clicked update tool and and selected the v.09r09 CROM and clicked OK, still nothing happens after that. The status bar at the bottom says "Setting up file" like it did before but still nothing happens. ??? I'm lost.

There is no problem with his drivers and you guys no that ! send him the correct file 9tg13 and all will be good. You guys stop giving hardly any support for a vehicle when it is a few years old. Contact Mike , he knows the problem for the early model 07's. and poor support. Stop blowing smoke up his but and give him the support he has paid for when purchasing the loader !

Thanks bigdawg04! the v.09r09 was an empty file. When I went back and looked in the folder that I saved it in the file size was 0kb...so I went back and saw there was a v.09r15 avaliable on the Predator Support U7186 page and I tried to load it and it loaded on the first try the same way I had been trying to load the v.09r09. However when it finished loading it gave me an error "CROM u7186-v.09r15. Incompatible hardware. (No serial flash support found). Contact tech support" so now I'm back to square one. I reverted back the the original v.09r08_324.CROM that I originally had on the Predator and it took just fine with no errors.

You will need to get ahold of Mike and send him your stock tune. Mike has taken care of me in the past and does a good job
