New tuner "Current calibration is not supported" m

Post by Roadie »

I have a 2006 GMC 3500 that I'm trying to tune. The tuner says "Predator was able to read a backup. You will need to export the backup using DS Downloader and call (866)396-6614 x1"

I updated the tuner to the latest version and still no luck. Below should be all the needed information. If not, please let me know what else you need.

VIN:
1GTJK33256F103577

ECM:
12606130 (Boot Software)
12606128 (Main OS)
12606159 (Speedometer)
12606234 (System)
12606250 (Fuel System)
12606229 (Engine Diagnostic)
12606228 (Engine Operation)
12606241 (Engine)
12606129 (Slave OS)

Serial: 7f004ba3
Part: u7186 dmx_lly_lbz
Version: v.9r15
Hardware: UNIV_REV2
Bus: CAN
Born: 08/08/2011 21588
Bus test: PASSED

Please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks

RE: New tuner "Current calibration is not supported&quo

Post by Roadie »

As a follow-up question, my truck has 255/70R22.5 tires on Alcoa wheels -- 37" diameter. I do the math in my head to add about 20% to the speedometer reading to get my actual speed. Can you suggest speedometer settings to get me close when I do put the tune into my truck?

Thanks

Well, I called support on Tuesday and the guy said he'd have someone look at this... 4 days since without a reply, so I guess there's no support staff working this week who can do anything about it. I realize it's between holiday weekends, but I expected I'd get some kind of support this week...

OK, the file you posted is not a stock GM calibration, thus we cannot make a tune from it.

It looks like the truck was flashed with something else at some point?

Best bet would be to have it flashed back to stock at the dealer (restore the stock tune with the Predator first), then let the tool read the backup again, if it is still unsupported, we'll be able to add it easily.

I bought the truck used, but was expecting the tune to be stock since the speedo is 20% off due to the big wheels/tires. It came from a dealership, so I have no way of finding out what was done to the tune. Is there any way you can see what was all changed in the tune? Probably not, but worth a shot...
