Hour Meter Gets Reset to Zero When Installing Tune

Post by EastTexan »

1. I have a 2005 Silverado 2500HD with the 6.0 liter gas engine and the U7193 Diablo Sport Predator reprogrammer. I noticed that after the last tune was installed, the DIC engine hour meter was apparently reset to zero. Is this an unfortunate byproduct of using your programmer?

2. Does the Predator alter the factory fail safe modes that shut down engine power in the event of engine or transmission overheating?

Thanks.

1/ yes as we have to clear everything after a write to the pcm this is part of the cleared items, gm protocol we must follow for successful flash procedure.
