Predator 7170 CROM Update Fails

Hi,
Tried to update the crom on a predator 7170 and about half way through the data transfer it fails and on the screen of the device it says "readmoredatathanexptected". Can anybody offer some advice please?

this was an older tool, on 7r19?

if so, it cant be updated past 7r19, and thats what needs to be reloaded.
