its possible that the vehicle has already been tuned in the past?

What is the message it gives you?

PCM

Post by colton55 »

It says "Orgional Backup NOT SAVED (-11)" so i hit more info an it says "PCM: error prepare read (-1)" then i hit continue an it says "Not tuning vehicle because of backup (4)".My dad bought it new then gave it to me an he did not put any kind of chip or programer on it. What should i do? Do i take it to a dealer an have it resetor what?

My truck is doing the exact same thing. 2004 chev 2500 hd. It may have a tuned PCM already. Is there anyway I can override it to make it copy the backup so I can use my trinity?

remove the harness that ties the stereo into the factory harness and try again.

Unplugged the whole deck and it's still doing it. I think mine has a tuned PCM is there anyway to get it to save?
