2011 Dodge Ram to 98 Mustang i2

I have a i2 that was originally bought for my 2011 Ram Hemi. I'm asking if I bought a 1998 Mustang GT license will it be compatible, or must it be a Ford tuner from the start? Thank's for your time and imput.

you can add any license to any device

Add the ford license then you can tune the Mustang no problem.
