Thanks Mike,

Will do when I get a chance. I'm kind of learning where to press and using a notepad stylus would probably be a good idea for my fat hands anyway :D

ETA: The tip on the stylus has solved all of the problems. No need for a screen recal at this time.

Thanks Mike

Hi MikeL, Is the process still that we have to call you to calibrate the touch screen on an InTune I-1000 ???

Mine is not responsive in the corners making it use almost impossible.

Thanks - george

Honestly, at this age, Id consider trading the I1000 in toward a newer device and take advantage of the upgrade discount.

Yes thats my plan, but I am hoping to recover some of my custom settings I currently have applied to my car so I can use them on a new tuner. Things like how I set up the fans and such.

Is there some other way to copy them off the I1000 without actually running it and writing down what I set the various items at?

It took a while to figure this all the first time, but I didnt write anything down assuming I would always be able to just get the info back out of the tool.

It might just be easier to call you,,,

Thanks

Tunes dont go away on their own, its not possible. We don't sell used devices, so I am not sure how to help with that question?

what devic e do you have?
what lights stay on the dash after loading the tune?

PCMs are flash based, meaning, we first erase the calibration, then write a new one. If the tune 'disappeared', the pcm would be blank and the car would not run. Since it is erased to start, there is nothing to 'revert' back to, etc.
