AEM 30-4110 AFR not reading on I3

Post by Aodell55 »

Currently running the I3 platinum and I’m having trouble reading the analog from the AEM wideband. I have voltage to the tip of the analog as that’s how I wired it. The analog is set up in the I3 and have values of 10.00-19.98 when I use a computer it just shows a flat 10.00 and does not move. I sent the device in for diagnostic and it’s supposed to be just fine. Could it be software issues and if so can we get this working as I need to utilize the AFR to tune the car for a blower that is installed.
Thanks,
Aaron

Recheck your wiring, I just went through this with a remote client with his i3 and 4110.

yeah, this is rarely if ever a software issue.
check the voltage coming in to the tip of the cable, I bet its 0V hence seeing 10.0 across the board.

There is voltage to the tip of the analog cable and it is correctly grounded as well. It is wired into the cigarette lighter with the gauge. I’ve checked this to ensure it wasn’t that.

if ther eis voltage at the tip, the analog voltage pid will show it. Are you sure the cable is seated properly in the device?

I thought that could be it I’ve tried pushing it into the I3 also tried an extension wire it to had voltage to the tip. It seems like it’s making it to the unit just not logging. Also have two usb cords for the I3 and I’ve tried both of those

It works if I do not connect a computer. If I just log on the tuner it logs it
