Help - Check engine blinks

Post by R t »

Hello

I have 2019 5.7 with cai, Lt headers catless, dual exhaust

The problem in my truck the check engine light blinks 4 times in specific situations especially in the mid-afternoon when it's extremely hot weather 116f when I accelerating in hill or In the event of strong wind hitting the front of the car

However, I used the in tune to see
what the codes say unfortunately Nothing appears

Happens again and I was lucky I was data logging

When I use the data viewer to identify if there is any knock, attached the log

i used to know the old format where the knock was classified as
ST knock
LT knock

Currently I couldn't understand any thing its referred to the following;

Knock
Knock mv 1
Knock mv 2

Can any one explain the differences ?

I attached the log with a picture.

blinking CEL is generally from misfires, and if you have headers you likely need a custom tune to dial them in.

Sounds bad !
The truck already has a custom tune

Also, I checked with the tuner saying We went out and tested it every thing just fine

That's wired the problem it only occurs when the weather is extremely hot rest of the day it's run normal

One more thing

I didn't understand the new format of knock sensors, how can I know the long term and short term knocks

I have 3.711 in knock 2 Is that bad?

thats more than ideal, most tuners use the knock sensor voltage to determine whats going on rather than the ST/LT knock counts.

you should add the Misfire parameters to the logging setup and do a new log...
