Turbo stopped working on the freeway

The other day I was getting on the freeway and gave the throttle a little juice, the truck downshifted and accessed the additional ponies the tuner has provided and then the turbo stopped working and the engine light started to flash. I was getting off at the next exit, luckily, and when I stopped at the light the engine light stopped flashing and the turbos seemed to work again. I haven't got on the throttle again like that for worry that I'm going to have the same issue.

I have a 2015 F150 3.5 EcoBoost with the i3 tuner and the truck currently has the 91 Octane tune on it. I've run a diagnostic with another OBDI scanner I have and it doesn't show any trouble codes and the engine light hasn't come back on. I've had the truck for about 2 weeks and the previous owner bought the tuner and included it with the truck purchase.

Any idea what happened?

No, but I would put it back to stock and drive it for a few days to make sure it behaves as expected.
