Custom Tune not being recognized

Post by Nsm8404 »

Got a custom tune from my dealer. Applied it to the Tuner and it recognized the file when transfered from my laptop. Went to the car to flash the ECM and the custom tune button is grayed out. Basic tunes appear and flash to the car no problem. Tuner is up to date. 2002 Camaro LS1 manual. I'll call in Monday to try and get some help.

does the tool indicate that the file was imported?
Is it still sitting on the drive?

I dropped the file on the I2 drive. It will display on the I2 that the file is already present. I looked through the tunes folder and all it shows for my VIN are the last tune and the backup.

AWESOME!!

and interestingly enough Mike, when he sent me his last tune written file, the cal id number is now the same number as the original backup.. whereas before, the preset diablo tune ltw number was different..

something is weird there, but, glad we could resolve it :)

Now, to get my CMR sorted out, as I would have done this myself if I could have opened the file properly, LOL.

I thought I would chime in on this as well for anyone else that's experiencing this problem.

I got a custom tune from Lew and the device would not recognize the TCM tune he sent me. Not because its something he did, but because its something with the device. What happens is once you transfer the custom tune files to the device and plug it into your vehicle, the device will recognize the ECM tune file and you can select it, but when asking for TCM tune, the custom tune file is not there. Apparently this is a known issue and the Diablo team is working on an update to solve this problem. I will say I have been very impressed with the i2 device so far and working with Lew has been a very pleasant experience as well.

same exact problem for myself. Got lews awesome tune but tcm custom tune not showing up on my i2 . And let me tell you lew was the best, I am an idiot when it comes to taking attachments from emails and loading them into tuner files etc. thought the problem was with my lousy computer skills. I am anxiously waiting for the problem to be corrected. By the way my Mpgs went up 2 mpg with the 93 tune and disabling that dreaded AFM. Go figure. :drivingbad:
