Wireless Updating of i2

I thought that I knew a good bit about PC's, routers, etc. until I received these ferrite beads. The instructions have you install one of them on the OBD2 cable and the other on the USB cable?? I'm lost man.

its an FCC thing, they are not required for the wifi to work at all :)
