Ignition not recognising i2 tuner

Post by jonmoody »

I'm getting an error in the Ignition Updater (per the attached) when connecting my i2 to a Mac

Effectively saying it's an unrecognised DiabloSport device?

Any immediate things I should be doing (apart from calling support?)? Thanks.

Unfortunately still the same result.

Deleted old installer and downloaded / installed the below one.

Still coming up as an unrecognised device?

hmm, this has resolved the issue for many others.
Can you confirm the version of ignition it displays when you open it?

Thanks for the quick reply Mike.

I don't see a version number on ignition itself (I'm running a Mac and no 'About' type menu), but I've included the info.xml and version.txt from the device itself if that's helpful.

I'm based in Oz, hence the weird reply times.. Thanks.

Mike

Unfortunately not - per the attached. Am I still using the wrong version perhaps?

hard to say. Did you do a full uninstall of the previous one before installing the one from here??

Yep - certainly did.

Full removal / clearing of trash all that good stuff.

The downloaded zip (.pkg) file does refer to Mac 1.0 - is this the right one still - doesn't really look very different to the original one.

Thanks for all you help Mike, but I'm still getting that same unrecognised diablo device error.

Any other thoughts or is the device busted?

Mike - you'll be pleased to know that I have used a Windows laptop and have updated my i2 successfully. Not sure what was happening with the Mac ignition... Thanks for all the help.

Macs are very iffy/finicky with tuning stuff/software.. it's ALWAYS best to use a Windows PC/laptop with this stuff.. always! Never use a Mac...

I’m having a similar issue. Ignition says that it will start when the device is plugged in but when I plug in my Intune I3 nothing happens. I’m also using a Mac. When I go to Finder I can see that my I3 is plugged in.
I did all the updates that I could using WiFi but when I try to tune the vehicle (2018 Silverado) I get the message that “one or more ECUs require an update….. please plug into pc for update)
To complicate things even more this was a used DiabloSport I3 but was purchased from another owner of a 2018 Silverado and he had used it for a custom Diablew tune. It was unmarried and showing 0/1 for licensing.
I’m hoping it’s not a huge hassle.
I’m going to call Diablo tech support tomorrow to see if there is an easy fix.
