Missing tunes on i2

Post by my1423 »

I just purchased an i2 i2030 for my 05 gmc sierra crew cab 5.3 auto 2wd people mover to up my fuel economy.
All stock accept for flow master dual exhausts and bigger tires listed below.

I hooked it to my pc and fully updated just fine and after the entire programming went well.
I even reset my tire size to the proper value of 265/70/17 from stock 245/70/17 so my speedo is finally correct.
Those tires came on the truck. I will go back to the stock size for economy and ride quality soon since they are nearly worn out.

The issue im having is that only the 87 tune was available in the selection menu.
I have read that there should be at least 3. 92, 87, and an economy tune.
Is this something i did? Rare truck and only the one tune? Need to download a tune pack for it?
Not sure Who do i need to contact about it, or witch forum since i might have missed something?
What info do i need to post?

Thank You

sounds like an easy tune bug, use the advanced menu to see all tunes.

I am using the advanced tune since i read in the forum prior to tuning not to use the easy tune.
Under easy i have 93 91 87 tunes bottom greyed out.
Under advanced i have 4 options
diablo tune
87 octane tune
modify stock tune
skip control

I loaded the 87 and ran a full tank of fuel. Got 15.9 mpg and did not like the shifting.
Tonight i reloaded the stock tune. Drove fine.
Then i tried the modify stock tune. Ended in failure. reduced engine power seemed like it was running on 4 cylinders, 20mph and 1000rpms max.
Tried to load stock tune and kept crashing. Loaded the diablo tune, no idea what octain that is, and modified all the stuff i wanted.
Big issues it backed up the stock tune again the messed up one. Now my speedo is fast. 55mph is 52
I backed up my original after first tune on my pc can i reload it to the tool and start over?

it will never read a tune as a backup, whatever its holding as the stock tune is 100% stock.

I had written the stock file back. It was stock.
On trying to write the modify stock tune to it it corrupted. Reduced power.

The i tried to write the stock tune back again to fix it.
It kept locking up and rebooting saying to write the stock tune.

So just to make the truck run i put the diablo tune on it. When doing this it backed up the corrupted stock tune.

When i checked the files on the tuner i now have a single different file then my original.

All files are attached.

Still is missing tunes in advanced. No fuel economy tune anywhere. Now a corrupt backup
