bypass module
Hi - need some quick help if anyone can answer, much appreciated. When installing Unlocked PCM into 2019 Challenger 5.7 Hemi, is a security bypass module required, or does that apply only to trucks and not the Challenger. Got replacement PCM with Security Bypass cable, and i-3 tuner is on the way. So, I think that for the Challenger, a MODULE is not required, but instead, only the security bypass cable. Please let me know if this is correct. The instructions we received are scanty- and then got better instructions off of a posting in this forum that suggest the Module is not used for Challenger applications. Thank you. Lois

Re: bypass module
all 19s require some form of bypass.
the cars use the cable and the new rams and Jeep JL/JT use the module (box).
Thanks

Re: bypass module
After installing on 3 Rams, we've gotten pretty good at this but wanted to make sure we understood bypass cable OR module, that is, one or the other. This is not clear in any of the instruction sheets we got. We received one instruction file that had trucks and cars all on the same photo mixed together - impossible to understand. In an effort to get it right, we tend to make things harder than they are. Once you've installed a PCM and a tune, it's cake. But, we changed from RAM truck to Challenger, and the tuners are all different now. these are truly fabulous products, but the instructions are BAD, WAY BAD..... confusing. Special note is that on the Challenger, removing the panel to install the cable on passenger side is not required - instead, just go in through the glove box. And, a "kick panel" is located down by one's FEET, as in KICK/Feet. A kick panel is not up above or on side panel of car. The You Tube video is pretty good but mostly you get great view of a guy's head instead of what's being plugged in and where. Anyway, great product but your instructions absolutely SUCK!!!
