2011 Cruze won't backup

Tried installing T1000 in my wife's 2011 Cruze 1.4T, but says original can't be backed up. I updated it and installed a blank SD card, still won't install. It was a rental car before she got it. Maybe the fleet company had a way to keep the PCM from being modified? Trying to get the MPG tune for an upcoming trip.

try removing the sd card, might be more trouble than its worth.
Make sure Ignition is in run, etc.

I tune most rentals I get in...

no sd card is needed... and fyi, there is no "mpg" tune for that car.. there's a 91 octane tune, and a 93 octane tune....

We rent cars for R&D all the time. Its great being able to get a 5.7 Challenger or 5.0 Mustang anytime we might need one

Heck we rented a 19 GT to take to the track last week!

I rented a CTS when I moved down here. The cars were transported, so I needed something until they got here.

And dealer loaners are always good. Got a Silverado from the Chevy dealer that I put a tune on, and the BMW loaners are good for a quick BMS Stage 1 install.

There are at least 3 2.0T Cadillacs that I got as loaners that I tuned and gave back like that.
It would suck to drop off your stock 2.0T then get in one of those loaners, it would make you think your car was broken
