2012 L96 swap in 07 Suburban

I'm helping a friend, who had a shop install a 2012 L96 6.0 with VVT, from a GMC 2500, into an 07 Suburban, previously fitted with a 5.3L with DOD failure. Both the old and new motors use the 58x reluctor wheel, and we are trying to keep the VVT, to avoid a cam swap, as it's not in the budget. The motor is already fully installed in the truck,and the mechanic is running the 2 wires to the VVT sensor from the 2012 harness into the 07 harness. The burb still has the original 4l65e 4wd, while the 2012 had a 6l80e. Stock exhaust and intake, etc. Trying to make this as close to a GM style installation. Both motors are flex-fuel capable

What I need help with- I have a Diablosport Trinity T2, not yet married to the truck. Is there a way I can turn on VVT in the 07 ECM, and install a stock 2012 GMC 2500 fueling, timing, and VVT maps? TIA

No.. will need to take that mis-matched swap setup to a shop to get tuned...

didnt the stock 5.3 have vvt??
If not, the pcm may not even have the option to control it.

no... only the 6.0 platform had vvt in 2007...

well, load a 2007 6.0 cal and I bet its super close.
