2015 GM 6.2 low throttle pressure and early shifts

Post by Sager17 »

I recently installed a new trinity ex2 platinum. A lot different than my predator in my old truck.

I’ve installed the diablo tune, with firm tcs tune.
2nd-3rd shift is at around 5200 even though I have it set to 6000.

Also, on my PID guages, my ABS TP (absolute throttle position) at WOT only reads 83%...
Can someone explain this to me?

I’ve seen LEW responding to some posts. Hoping for a fix

so you raised the 2-3 shift rpm and its not applying?

83% is WOT on these trucks ;)

I started to think that 83% was WOT since that’s what it was every hit. And yes I raised the 2-3 shift to 6000 and it’s shifting at 5200-5300.

82% - 84% throttle percentage is normal on GM vehicles man... there's nothing wrong anywhere... GM reported voltage for WOT throttle position equates to about 84%... normal... the "absolute throttle position" will never be higher than about 83/84% for a GM vehicle... If you add the parameter for "COMMANDED Throttle Position", that COMMANDED throttle position parameter will show up as 100% throttle in the logging... so that would make you feel better.... heh..

"Commanded throttle position" parameter would be about 100%... "Absolute Throttle Position" would be about 84%... normal stuff man... nothing to worry about.. nothing is wrong anywhere... that's what they should be...

you need to read, read, read, learn, learn learn about things and where certain values, parameters, etc. should be at for specific sensors, values, etc. before thinking something is wrong man...

there is nothing wrong here... absolutely normal...
