2004 F150 U7151 shifting problem

Post by 617F150 »

What shifting changes have been made in the 9r05 version vs the 9r04 version? I like the firmer shifts with the 9r05 but my transmission feels like it keeps slipping in and out of overdrive. I do not have this problem with the factory tune or the 9r04 predator tune. I am currently using the 9r04 version. Thanks.

I have noticed the same issue. I have requested to have 9r04 emailed to me so that I can go back to that one.

Mine is RXAQ3P4. Shifting is not as smooth as with earlier updates of the U7151.

I can not get it to load. the device is now stuck in a loop trying to restore original tune. The predator updated with the 9r06 succesfully, so i am hoping to resolve soon.

I have the latest tune in my truck now. So far everything is good and the shifting is much better. The truck feels stronger too. I am currently running the 87 performance tune +2 degrees on the timing with 89 octane. No pinging. There are some extra cai tunes with this release also.

I installed the latest release (9r06). This release has some extra tunes for Airaid, Roush & K&N intakes. What would be a good match for my Volant air intake? Thanks.
