Help! My old computer crashed with my factory tune on it. Good thing is I had already transferred it back to the car. My wife got a check engine light and being that she works for a ford dealer she had the shop "Fix" it. Well, the "mechanic" told my wife that he had to re-flash the computer in the car! This happened about 6 months ago. Now i can only clear codes.
I get this message, Your Vehcile is not in our data base. Contact your dealer for a free update. Your cal_id is FBCE2B4. The Cal_Id I have on record for my car is FBCE052!
Is there any thing you can do to help me? I'm basically starting over. Only add on is a BBK COI

obviously, the ford dealer updated the flash on your car. What is the revision of the predator software? If it is not 9R03 then you need to update the predator.

If it does have 9R03 and still give you the CALID message then you probably have a new CALID that the predator currently does not support and therefore DiabloSport will need to make a new revision to support your new vehicle software.

It states that I have to return my tune to the car before I can download the update. I think I'm screwed by the well meaning wife!

OK, your tool needs ot be reset before you can update it.

You'll need to fax us a copy (561-908-0048) of the work order showing the car was reflashed, then call us with the tool powered up so we can reset it over the phone.

Then you can update it and use it again.

You wrote in your first post, "Good thing is I had already transferred it back to the car."

So, if you returned the original backup to the car prior to bringing the car back to the dealer and it being reflashed by them then the Predator should not be locked to your vehicle anymore. Am I missing something?

Finding the bill could be a problem. Let me see how long the dealership keeps a copy.

When is the best time to call? I just faxed over the invoice from the dealership.

if they are closed then the phone system will tell you that they are closed. So just hang tight on hold.
