Need help with engine idle

Post by rodriclaro »

Hi,

Just got the predator 7193 for my 2003 Silverado. I installed the performance tune, and when I went for a ride to try it, I noticed that the engine idle speed was too low, so low that when stopping at the corners the engine shuts down. This problem was not present before installing the tune, but whe I reinstalled the original backup, the problem was not solved.
Please give me some advice in how I can solve this problem.

Regards,
Rodrigo

You should drive 50-75 miles after the tune gets installed. I had this issue once when I installed the tune and it self cured. After that run in perform this... http://diablosport.com/index.php?name=P ... opic&t=917.

if it stalls with the original tune, there most likely is something up with the truck.

Yep, you were right. I took it to the service and they had to clean smothing in the intake (don't ask me what it was) and the problem was solved. Now I am happy with my predator, it's just awesome

Thanks for your replies.

My truck has the same problem... but with or without the tune.... Never did figure out what the problem is/was... I just bumped up the RPM by 100, and it's been good.
