I then began some basic tune changes to get familiar with it. Changed the tire size and started the upload the car. Then somehow the predator let the smoke out. Literally had a stream of smoke shooting out the top somewhere near the 12VDC plug. (I was using the cars power not an external source)
I didn’t have to use my engineering training to know this was not good. Fortunately it finished the upload and the car started.
For those of you buying through Amazon or elsewhere, this is why I got mine and I’m glad I did get mine from Diablo’s recommended dealers. They have responded to my email and are ready to support me when I get back in town and can swing by their shop to evaluate the damage.
Arvil at Xtreme Horsepower in Fort Worth, Texas is standing by to support what he sold and will standby the Diablo product claiming they will resolve my problem so I can take my car to the next level.
Am I happy about this, NO! But the support from my dealer knowing they are there to help is reassuring. The need for my CC just to create an RMA sucks.
Diablo get ready for a returned U7135 s/n 254180, it will be the one that smells like smoke.
