i was wondering how important upgrading my tuner and car would be and also what kinda of things would be changed?

02 ford mustang coupe. U7146 and idk about the revision. i havent upgraded it since i got it Dec 08

It's always a good idea to run the latest revision..chances are if we have a revision that is newer then the one you currently have, then there was a reason for it. Be it a fix or an added cal id...or updated tunes.
