WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
It seems that no matter how much I lean the PE table between 4-7K the A/F value is not changing as I would expect on the Predator.
Looking at my last couple of WOT logs, the A/F value on the predator stays fixed at 12.23 from approx 4800 rpms's on. I leaned out the PE table at 4000+ from -10% to -14% and the 12.23 still doesn't change. It seems the A/F changes right around 4000-4200 based on my PE change, but then settles back in at 12.23.
Same thing happened at the dyno (although A/F values I'm now referencing were the wideband values, not the predator). On the the first run it was pig rich (10's) so I set PE to -20% and A/F went into the low 13's around 4000, but then shot right back to 11.5 from 4200 to 6200. I then changed PE to -10% and A/F richened up right after 4000 as expected, but the quickly found 11.5 across the board again from 4200 on.
Anyone ever experience this before?
Crusing LTFT's are dead on per DsLogRedux, no changes necessary.

hmmmm... wonder if there's a quirk in the predator revision you're on, where it's not actually writing the changes to the tune...
when you're modifying the tune, are you doing this:
selecting the same tune you previously installed, then go to Modify Tune... then go into the PE settings... then go into the rpm range you want to change... then make your adjustment... then press the center button on the predator to save the change.... then press the ESC button a few times to go back until it asks you to "Install Tune?"... and then you select Yes and it installs the modified tune
is that how you're doing it?

RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
that's exactly how I'm doing it. It seems that it is making the change because I can see the A/F change right around 4000, but then goes right to same 12.23.
When I changed it to -20% on the dyno it went up to 13.xx @ 4K and then right down to 11.5 and was a nice straight line across the graph at 11.5. When I changed it to -10% on the dyno it richened up right @ 4K, but then went right to 11.5 again. Did a pull again without any changes to see if it was consistent and it was. Called it a day after that because it didn't seem like we could lean it out anymore.

RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
it's definitely writing it to the tune because the dyno operator pulled a copy of the tune after my first pull and then again after I changed PE to -20%. he compared commanded fuel in both tunes and showed me the -20% changed in commanded fuel between the two.

RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
anyway to confirm it's the COT? I have high flow cats and the header tune which disables the rear 02 codes.

yes diable it for a run but they might get too hot
RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
I don't think I have the ability to disable it with my Predator.

its called cot. just turn it off on the predator
RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
yeah, I don't see it as a parameter that I can change.

RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
thats weird. its in the same menu as the speed limiter. it maybe called converter options or something cant exactly remember. but there set at 1200 degrees. so u can do a run at wot and log cat. converter estimated temp. and if its above 1200 degrees than u know for sure that its the cot causeing u to be rich.
also what rev. is ur predator on??
for the trucks they updated the logs and how they work but not sure on the vettes. u might wanna try the new update for the 7194. its 9r08.crom.
theyve updated how the predator boots up and makes log files.

RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
you're right I didn't look at the converter option (thought it had something to do with an auto tranny) Thanks, I'll test it out.
btw, I've got the SLP version so I can't download the latest revision for the U7194

RE: WOT A/F problem - SLP7194 - 06 C6 - calling on Monte
BINGO!!! On my predator I can either shut COT ON/OFF or set a delay. I shut it off and A/F went to 12.8-12.9 where I have PE set. Added 2% PE and A/F is now at 12.67.
Now, what is the issue with running the COT off. The CATS are not the stock ones and are not in the stock location. I wouldn't think that 12.6 A/F would harm hi flow cats.

i know it too late but u should have just took em all the way off lol. and u could have gotten a tune and wrote em out. but since u have em and there further away u can set the temp. up some on them. i dont know if id go up much because they dont like heat. but 1300 or 1400 degrees is prolly in the ball park.
