A few catch can questions

I will soon be purchasing the DS catch can. I just had a few questions..
1. After install how long under normal driving should it take to burn off what's already in there
2 is there any other way besides taking the intake off to find out if oil is in there
3. Is there any other method to clean the intake besides taking it off that won't harm the motor
4. I recently took a long trip,(500 mi round trip) would oil burn off with the engine running sustained or is it just sendind more oil thru the PVC doing more harm than short trips

1. Depends how much oil is in there.
2. Not really...
3. some intake/throttle body cleaner may help...
4. sending more oil through...

Well it's a 2006 srt8 charger with a little over 40000 miles. With that many miles would I have to clean it reguardless or would it eventually burn off?
