The tunes greatly reduce the intervention of torque management with respect to wheel spin. Am I glad the rest of the system remains intact as when I did a panic stop yesterday, everything worked just fine with the brake system. That is even on one of my CMR tunes where they say they have even reduced the torque management more than a canned tune.2001z06 wrote:2007 jeep srt8 u7135

Your A/F ratio wants to be a stoichiometric air/fuel mixture of about 14.7 at part throttle so I don't know why you would want to change that. With those parameters set the oxygen sensors will help the computers keep everything balanced for us regardless of the variation in gas formulas.
I don't know about the timing, I would guess they have changed the advance curves. Since I have not logged the stock tune and compared that...someone else will need to respond to give you a firm answer.

Flash done by who?
You do know that whatever stock program or updated program the manufacturer has loaded in your car is retained by the Predator then the new DiabloSport program is loaded and replaces it, right?
I have to tell ya, just yesterday my real cool Service Manager at the dealer and I went for a ride in my '06 with my CMR tune loaded on E-85 then took a demo '09 Challenger out with a 6.1 in it, and there is NO COMPARISION at all. I believe between the two of us we have about 60+ years of butt dyno experience. I have a movie from last year with about fifty yards of my old Goodyears on a road and the best this new car can do is about 15 yards before it runs out of torque. Buy a programmer! And, I don't work for these guys, I am just glad to help while I am sitting here an eating lunch.

The Predator has many advantages over a flash tune, especially ina case where the vehicle is under warranty.
We do alter open loop fueling, and many areas of the timing tables where they need to be improved,
TM is reduced quite a bit, and of course custom tunes can be had and loaded to the Predator as well.
Thanks
Mike

the guy that wants to do the flash for us stated that the predator only
changes the PE TABLE and does not do part throttle timing adjustments or TM changes.
basically what he is saying is that he will tune our cars for normal driving and all so when we go WOT.
thanks

Mike beat me to it, but yeah, check these guys out, they'll pretty much all recommend the Predator over any flash tune...

Mike Levy, I suggest you limit your idiot coments to yourself, I happen to be a Diablo dealer and support there handheld and recomend it to my customers, which brings them sales,, Your coment is unwarrented, I can do everything plus more via a direct tune to the pcm above and behond what the predator is capible of, so for you to say that the normal tunes are garbage is unwarrented. I have always been a advicate of having a handheld to be able to switch back and forth between tunes or have the adjusability avalible that the predator offers, I have and still recomend it to my customers for the ease of tuning and adjusability. As far what that customer was told it definitaly did not come from me or my SHOP, I am well versed in what and is being done within the canned tunes and what adjustemnts are being made.. Just my opion Dave@bgchrysler
Like I said, both also offer Diablo Tunes. As far as your "direct tunes" go, in the 2 years I've been dealing with SRT8s, I have yet to hear a positive comment about them. All I ever hear is people regretting them.bgdave wrote:Mike Levy, I suggest you limit your idiot coments to yourself,
Maybe its time to stop playing with other software and do everything with CMR.
Again, Mike I do not want to get into a pissing contest, Wether I do a direct tune or use the CMR software I have the ability to changes all and any tables and the outcome will be the same.. All and any tuning software is just a tool. it is like you saying if I do a direct flash on the pcm and or use the CMR software the outcome will be different, Not true, unless I modify different tables.. Mike I also have hundreds upon hundreds of customers that still have and or are using the Direct flashed PCM's and again with the cost and down time of mailing the pcm in to be updated, means alot of them have real old versions of the tunes and were never updated with revisions and or changes. or they paid the extra cost for a spare pcm to switch back and forth with at the time that was the only option and yes it was not cost effective. That is why even my old customers when they call I recomend the predator for the ease of upgrades.. But again I still do a ton of direct flashes also especially on all the unsupported vehicles that still exsits and or the new model year vehicles like the 2010 which I already do, or combinations that go way behond the capibilites of CMR Software.
I don't want to cause any problems, it was not BG that made that comment.
BG has a pretty good rep at the SRT10 forum.
my concern was that the tune I got was for part throttle and wot performance.
the thing is you spend most of your time driving normally and a good tune does wonders.
I have a 2001 z06 and had a chuck cow tune and it was awesome in part throttle and WOT.

Isn't part throttle mostly shifting related and not much to do with the engine?2001z06 wrote:my concern was that the tune I got was for part throttle and wot performance.

(changing the threshold where the PCM goes into WOT mode would be a different issue).
