Make sure your friend did a "restore original backup" (which would have put his truck back to stock and reset the predator) before selling his truck. If he sold his truck with the tune in it then you'll have to pay $130 or something to get the Predator unlocked.

Is there any way to buy one of these now with the 87 tune and then update it when available?

No, but you could buy one now and wait for the update, then have the 87 and 93 tunes...

But the 08's don't have partial downshifts yet i thought? Is there a crom update I'm not aware of or did you just make a typo and meant Partial upshifts only?
Thanks mike

Jw but I had my 09 Ram put on the Dyno and its making 322HP/335/TQ at the RW stock. Any idea of the power/torque gains from the predator? Thanks much!
