I looked into a power puck for my 2005 Ram 2500 w/5.9 Cummings and the dealer says that they are obsolete now and you must now use a extreme power puck that is $200 more money than the D7159. What gives, they had a affordable product in the original puck or is it that the original puck is harming motors or just does not work.
Does someone know what is going on at this company, they have a reputation of being a good business.

Stick thanks for getting in touch with us. The D7159 is no longer in production as it's been replaced by the superior P- series Extreme Power Pucks. The D7159 is a great product, it was not discontinued because of issues, or because it didn't work- we simply have a new product that offers more adjustability (0-100 HP vs. a 60/90 switch). The Extreme PowerPuck is more expensive, but that's due to the updated tunes in it, and the new connectivity that it has with the DiabloSport Trinity. If you do some searching you may still be able to find the D7159 PowerPuck out there some where, some dealers and distributors still have them in stock but they are few and far between. If you are really interested in getting a power upgrade, might I recommend the DiabloSport Trinity T1000 to you- take a look at this link: http://diablosport.com/index.php?module ... ay&pid=151

I can get a 7159 puck used at a good price for my 04.5 1 ton drw dodge. Is this a good move? I'm not looking for a ton more power, just a little better mileage. I don't hotrod this truck.
