Got it in

Post by 2valve »

I have a 2004 mustang gt with CAI and shorty headers.
Just wondering how I should adjust spark/fuel to possibly richen my mixture a bit.. I noticed when I pulled a spark plug that it was white.
I don't have cables to hook up the predator to the PC so I can't datalog and send it right now.
What is a safe amount to adjust spark/fuel each time until it's better? Also, can the predator read a/f mixture? So I can watch it when messing with spark/fuel.
Thanks.

You should only alter A/F ratios based on a wideband sensor.

Be careful with adding timing, as too much can cause problems, and keep in mind that the performance tune already has timing added.

A wideband sensor, but I'm N/A and lightly modded..is there sense in getting one?
I did notice when stepping on the gas I smell it a bit so maybe it's worked itself out?
Got some new spark plugs in so I guess I'll just have to change them and check them every now and then to see how they're doing. Would the 87 octane performance tune actually alter a/f ratios? I plan on going with the 93 octane tune once my tank is near empty..how would that tune effect it?
Thank you for your time and patience with me.

Regardless of being N/A or not, if you have the slightest suspicion that your vehicle is running to lean for comfort, it is definitely a good investment.
No, i don't work here.
