2000 silverado U7198

Post by rat454 »

2000 silverado, air intake, tb spacer, gibson shorty headers and cat back, cats removed, electric fans.
This programmer really woke my truck up. I'm using the 87 octane program now. I want to see if I get any mpg improvement and then I will try the 93 program.
Mike,
I posted earlier and you answered about adjusting shift firmness, COT disable and O2 sen disable.
To disable O2 sensor should I turn all or specific p codes off in the OBDII O2 sen section?
When adjusting shift firmness what incremental % should I try to notice a difference? I started with 5%. Not much change.
With the COT at 1200c should I see improved mpg?

Disabling COT should improve mileage a bit.
Go ahead and disable all O2 sensor codes listed in the tool.
