How to turn off MDS

Post by akita64 »

I have an 09 RT. I am running the u7135-9t19g.crom. After I installed the 91 CAI tune I can feel the care surge coming out of MDS. I would like to turn it off but a little confused on how.I saw in the menu where it asked to modify tune. I turned it off and then it asked if I wanted to install the modified tune. Do you need to return the car back to stock before you install the modified 91CAI tune, or being that I already have the 91 CAI tune in the car, will the predator just overite the tune that is in there? Is there another way of turning it off?
Thanks

select yes and install the modifyed tune. The MDS is now off. Next time you can modify it before you install it. When going from a stock tune to a caned tune if you want to make any mods select the tune you want and then select modify tune and make any mods you want. The preditor will ask if you want to install the tune select yes. It will install the tune you selected with the mods you made.

so your saying to go ahead and select modify. make the the changes and then just re-install the tune. no need to re-install the stock tune?

Ok-so I turned of the MDS and I'm pretty sure it is disabled. I no longer feel it surge as it returns to 8 cylinders. The only thing that confuses me is that the "ECO" continues to come on in the EVIC when I back off the gas? Is that normal?

The ECO light came on with mine as well even though I could tell the MDS was off. I just turned off the ECO display in the EVIC.

Will this same process work for the 2006 Magnum RT?

The interior resonance with aftermarket Magnaflow exhaust is horrible when then MDS turns on.

Thanks!
