2009 Mustang GT U7145

hello everyone.
i just received a predator tuner for my mustang as a birthday present and have a couple questions.
First my car is a 2009 Mustang GT and the predator is the U7145 with the latest revision.
Predator was born on 02/27/2009.

first off is i guess inital setup.
is it supposed to read and store your stock tune upon first plug in?
OR
is it supposed to read and store your stock tune when i choose to install a performance tune?
just want to be 100% for sure since when i scrool through all the options it says last tune loaded is Original Backup.
AS FAR AS I KNOW MY WIFE bought this tuner brand new.
any help would be appreciated.

Once you select a tune to install it will save your stock tune and then allow you to install the new tune.

also correct me if im wrong.
i have the ROUSH / AIRRAID Intake for my car.
i have to remove the insert for the airraid tune correct?
