correct... to get the AFR parameter on a 7193, you have to use a laptop and the dataviewer/predator in your car to log...

are you saying to have the predator hooked up to the truck and have the lap top plugged in at same time?

Yea, open up DataViewer and wait for it to connect to the tool, it will tell you when your connected. Push the lightning bolt and it get a load a list of PIDs. Check the ones that you want to log, i was able to log 14 different PIDs at one time, so select the ones you need and you can select Air/Fuel and it will log it for you. If you want to just stream the data without saving it you can press the Connect button which is the circle on the left, hitting the letter "c" is the shortcut for this. If you want to record a log and then save it press the record button which is red, or you can press "r". Once your done logging just go to File->Export to CSV and then you can open it up in dslogredux and the make adjustments accordingly. This dataviewer program is actually a great diagnostics tool, there are a ton of pids that you can log.

yes... the laptop/dataviewer needs to use the predator as a pass-through device, so that the dataviewer app can communicate with your pcm to be able to log the parameters...

install the latest version of the dataviewer app on your laptop, then go into the HELP section in the dataviewer... it tells you how to do it.

got it all runnin today went and did a quick log, got a question. how accurate is this, i mean it doest really bounce around all that much like a believe a wideband to do. if i rem reading correctly somebody compared it at a dyno and it was really close, thought id ask..?

edit: searched and found according to whats been said on here its pretty accurate, now i want to know about how much WOT fuel% increase/decrease affects the a/f ratio. example would 2%= .50 a/f change???
thanks.

well since nobody messes with WOT PE around here nobody will prob care but, after logging tonight 1% change equals .10 a/f change from what ive seen. i just hope the a/f logging pid is as accurate as they say..

look at your data logs for the WOT AFR value....

if it's at 12.2 and you want it to be 12.6, then ya just gotta do the math...

12.6 - 3% = 12.2....

so, you'd adjust the PE fueling by -3% to bring it up to the 12.6 AFR you want...

yes i know how to do it, i was just basically answering my own question since no one did before i messed with it. From what i logged the 1% i changed got me .10 change in a/f (pretty much what ur sayin). And once again this is going off the a/f pid which is how accurate? and how do they get this, im assuming theres some sort of conversion for o2 mv? Dont know how accurate that could be with as many variables as there are from what ive read. But i guess i shouldnt complain since im not up for paying for a wideband yet..

Reading through this thread has answered a lot of questions for me. I guess we can get WOT's using the U7193 but it doesn't log it in the tool. We use the laptop and dataviewer!! Cool!! I will try it and see what I get. Thanks guys.
