I do not have the MSD disabled since it does not effect anything at WOT. I love the shifting. Currently shifting at 5800 rpms and very firm.
Off the line there is still some lagging but the truck really takes off after 2000 to 2500 rpms.
I can spin the tires with minimal brake, cannot do it with out using the break.
On the 87 tune mileage is maybe 1/2 mile per gallon better then stock. On 93 I can't tell yet since I am stabbing it every chance I get, lol.
I've been playing with the tune today. When the truck is in drive and you punch it it feels pigish out of the hole, but try using the autostick to put it in first, and then punch it. Mine breaks loose with no break that way (ESP off...always). I think there must be something in the TC limiting the tune from a hole shot.
This tune is WAYYY better than Hypertech. I can tell you that.
I have 3.55's. I'm probably going to 4.10's in the very near future. When I did it I was on dry pavement that actually sloped downhill a bit. I'm sure that, once they get the kinks worked out of the programming, there will be improvements. How much difference did you notice between the 87 and the 93 tunes? I still have about 3/8 of a tank to go before I try.
Yeah. On the Hypertech the difference was slight so I switched back to the regular tune because it wasn't worth paying for premium gas. If I notice a big enough difference I won't mind the extra .20 a gallon though. I should have mentioned before- it has been hovering around 70* here. I would imagine it is quite a bit warmer in FLA (not to mention more humid). I notice a big difference in performance going from 80*+ down to 70*.
if i have my truck in 1st gear with the auto stick doing about 30mph and i mash into it it will chirp the tires pretty damn good when moving moving lol... i cant wait to get the tune
