Can I load a factory Tune into a DiabloSport ECU?

Part# U7158, Predator v.9r02, 2002, Ford, Harley davidson F150

I bought my truck in 2006 and it already had a cold air intake, Pulley(upper and Lower) and a Diablosport PCM. I had the top end redone and restored the top pulley back to stock. I just received my Predator Tuner today brand new out of the box and when I tried to load it up it said my truck already had a performance tune. My question is can I have the dealership flash my PCM even though it is not a stock PCM?

Well, we dont have "diablo pcms", just factory pcms with either a flash tune or a chip. So what you will have to do is check to see if there it a chip plugged into the pcm and if not, it can be reflashed at any ford dealership.

Thanks, thats good info, the PCM just had a Daiblosport sticker around it so Im not sure if it has a chip in it. I have an appointment today at the local ford dealership to get it reflashed so I guess Ill find out soon enough. Thanks for the quick reply.

Remove the sticker, it is usually there to help hold the chip in and keep dust out. If it has a chip you can remove it and not need to go to the dealership

Well I went to the dealership and they said I didnt have a chip in it and tried to flash the PCM and their computer said that my truck already had the factory tune and that it was up to date. So I went back home hooked up the predator tuner and again it said "Sorry, this vehicle already has a performance tune. The Predator does not support tuning over non-factory tunes. The ford tech gave me this code- 2C6A-12A650-AB. ?? Any suggestions?

LOL...once again, proof that dealers cannot even tell if a PCM has a tune in it, even when you put it right in their face and tell them its tuned!!!!!!!!!

All they did was check the calids, and saw they were up to date.
For some reason, dealers think that if the PCM is tuned, the calids will change or something, which is a terrible way of looking at it.

Go back and kindly ask them to flash the PCM, not just read the calids.
