if yours works for you, don't need the newer ones. nothing has changed in the tunes, just adding support for other vehicles.

Welp guess I'll be calling in today for a forced restore. My predator right now acts as if it is COMPLETELY incapable of talking to my truck. Can't change the tune, can't modify the one in it, can't run diagnostics, can't read trouble codes, can't do anything.

But before I do that... would it even be worth it? I'm hoping that simply re-flashing the predator will cure it... but if it doesn't I'd be stuck with a stock tune, and I'm not looking forward to 14 MPG again =/

::Shrug:: Waited for 20 minutes, nobody answered so I hung up. What's the best low-traffic time to call?

I wish I knew, I'd try to schedule a break for the low traffic time....!

It is truly hit or miss.

Sometimes I think a Bell goes off and people all over the country decide to call at the same time!

nope, there is no universal "force" password...

it's based off a code that is generated by your predator/vehicle...

which changes every single time the predator is connected/powered-up...

The update page shows the latest revision as, "u7194-9r09.crom."
What is this update? why isn't it on the updates page?

I am using, "u7194-9r09," in my 06 Corvette. Should I be using, "u7194-9t09h."

Yeah I know, that's why I was mentioning a universal one. Having to sit on the phone for endless amounts of time just to get my tune back in my truck so I can re-update the predator is somewhat annoying...

Can I what? Hahaha, my Predator is barely conscious that it's even on!

IF I'm allowed to access the diagnostics screen, there are no logging options. As in... I can't even see the options mentioning GM short or GM complete.

Performance Tune option? Forget about it. All it'll do is keep telling me to turn the truck on, even though it's already on.

Try to restore backup? No sir! Same deal as Performance Tune option...

And I know it has nothing to do with the tune, because the tune is fine. But since I can't re-install the predator's CROM without first restoring my backup, I'm screwed, and have to restore the backup just so I can re-install the CROM, and hopefully have a working predator again.

If that doesn't work... meh... what's the warranty on this thing?

Its covered for 2 years....sounds like maybe a wire came loose in your tool or there is a loose pin or wire in the OBDII port...

mike is letting you know that you have a 2 year warranty for repair. I would work with them to diagnose the issue and fix it. If that means a warranty repair then that is what it will take. Keep working with mike.
