New 6.4L Airaid Intake Resolves CEL's

Hot off the presses, Airaid has announced a revised air intake system for the 6.4L trucks that addresses the CEL problem. The new part number is 400-214-1.

AND more GOOD NEWS. If you already have the older Airaid intake system for your 6.4L and you have the CEL common to all air intakes for that truck then you can call them directly and they will ship you, at no extra charge, the retrofit parts. Airaid is the first company that I know of to come up with a solution.

To get the retrofit kit, just call Airaid directly at 800-498-6951 and they will get you fixed up.

I have been running a S&B Cold Air Intake for 13000 miles and I have yet to throw a CEL.

I am running the banks air intake, it work very well . i have gotten cel lights, but very few, and the cel will go out on its own.
I have noticed , that the cell light will come on right after the regen finishes.. I think regen is directly related to this cel light..
I think the range of the particulate filter is to tight, because as soon as the dpf get a few miles on it , it will come back into
tha range and cell light will go out after 1 full drive cycle.. might be useless info, but its what i noticed.

Your are lukcy arts. I have had trucks that got a CEL with the S&B every 300 miles. Banks too. Some trucks never get a CEL with the cold air intakes. I was told by Airaid that this retrofit and revised part number will eliminate all of the CEL's associated with installation of their intake. We will just have to wait and see. I have one kit on the way to a customer to see if it resolves the problem.
