Got my Predator today! Stock Tune questions.

Post by RockyRotella »

I got my U7135 for my '07 Jeep GC SRT8 today and immediately started playing with it. It's otherwise completely stock. I've got a recurring issue with it where the in-gear idle speed will fall off when operating on closed loop with the AC off and I was hoping the Predator's idle-speed-adjust feature would correct it.

When I come to a complete stop the idle will remain steady at 700 for a couple of seconds, before it'll drop down into the 575 range where it will remain until barely touch the accelerator or put the trans in Nuetral. It will then jump to 700 and stay there until the next stop. The dealer replaced the throttle body and it made no difference at all.

Using the Predator, I tried adjusting the stock tune's "D" idle speed by +50 and +100, and while it worked as intended, it simply raised the point where it would fall off to. It acts exactly the same after trying the 91 octane tune. I don't believe it's any fault of the Predator, however, since DS doesn't touch idle tune.

That brings me to this question. Does anyone have the ability to read the stock tune to see if there's an issue with the factory's idle programing? And does Diablosport have the ability to adjust the idle programing?

I'm trying to figure out if it's my stock PCMs programming or the PCM itself. I'm tempted to take it back to the dealer and have them replace the PCM, but if it's in the tune, I have a feeling it'd just do it again.

Thanks for any input!
