Air / Fuel Ratio control?

Post by hammerz71 »

I have a '04 Hemi QC 4x4 and have just purchased a set of Pacesetter LT Headers that are at a local shop getting ceramic coating. I hope to have them on within the next week or so. Other performance mods are: K&N CAI, 180 Extreme E-Fan, 180* T-Stat, 4.56 Gears, Superchips Flashpaq, etc.

And I soon will have a KRC 210 Cam, Beehive Springs, Titanium Retainers & Dampner installed (about 4-6 weeks).

My local shop (KRC Performance in Cocoa, FL.), who is doing the CAM job(all other mods except gears done by me, but like the gears I'm chicken to try a CAM) recommends going to the 87 econo tune on the Superchips so as not to get lean codes popping up. He said that my only other option would be to have him install a "Fuel Controller" when he does the CAM, such as an ARC 1.

I have read that your tuner will give full control over the A/F ratio's.

Is this true? Will this allow me to have a more aggressive (91 or 93 octane) tune with your programmer? Will this allow me to run without the hardware fuel controller?

Would you also be able to offer a custom tune for this setup?
