Well I just purchased a used Hypertech 50013 from the classified on Dodge Talk for $100:00 dollars.
It offers raised Rev Limiter,and Raised shift points.

My diablo does not offer either of these and honestly it looks like they never will.

I am extremly disappointed with Diablo for promising support for the 03 ram and never following through with it.
Hopefully i can recoup some of my $500:00 dollars it cost me to buy my Diablo By selling it to someone who has a 05-09 hemi.

I will never forget my experience with your product,and the broken promises.

research before you buy... that seems like the biggest mistake made on these forums. Don't trust a salesman at a store. Plus these things are being updated all the time, so you might want to hold on to it. JMOA

Hope you aren't planning any real mods. That Hypertech will be useless if you are, without custom tunability. You're also gonna be seeing the taillights of alot of Diablo tuned trucks.

Well what can I say.
The hypertech has 6200 rpm rev limiter.
Diablo is 5700.
The hypertech has raised top speed,Diablo has nothing.
Diablo cannot raise the stock 500rpm idle,so no cam will work in my truck,so no worries about putting my comps cam back in.
I have run 2 cams already,but the stock 500rpm idle gets bumped down to about 450 with a cam.
It starts throwing misfire codes,and stumbles because a 450 rpm idle is to low.
Thats with a complete custom tuned motor.

So if you have a 03 and a Diablo,the Hypertech will absolutly destroy a 03 ram.
And its from a 6 year old tuner.

Im glad you guys got support for your rides.

The only reason I bought my Diablo is because Mike at Diablo said the 03s would be supported.
This was posted and still is posted in the Dodge talk website.
And the Hemi truck Club.
So yeh I quess I should have not listened to the guy who works at Diablo.

While I dont have your issue since my SRT8 is covered, from the looks of it, there is a tuner for the 03 Ram ... to me, thats "supporting" the model year. If it doesnt cover the exact setpoints you were looking for, thats another story. But if they said they would "support" the model year, they have done exactly as promised.

It says they support the 03s rams,but there is no support.
The only thing it can do is the 3 canned tunes and datalog.
Since it cannot even raise the idle in the 03 trucks it means the 03s cannot run any sort of power adder,whether like a cam.
We all asked these questiions before we bought the product and Mike promised it would be coming shortly.
I quess its easy to offer an opinion when your Predatir actually works.
There is Zero support for the 03s,since it has come out almost a year agao,there has not been 1 update specific to the 03s.
There is no transmission support,no raised rpm,nothing that would put this tuner in a class of even a 6 year old Hypertech.
Now all I hear is people want to sue Diablo for completely lieing to peeople about there product.
I quess time will tell how that goes.

You're right. Mine won't let me adjust the part throttle shift points on my '06 Magnum. My '06 Magnum is not supported either...

Point is, it's a matter of level and features. Your truck *IS* supported. You can plug the Predator in, you can data log, it comes with supplied tunes that you can apply, you can adjust fuel, timing and other parameters. It's some specific set of features that you're talking about and they aren't available for your '03. Like I mentioned above, on some vehicles they can adjust part throttle shifts. I can't on mine. So by your definition my car is completely not supported...

How about if everybody here chipped in $0.25 and bought you a custom tune? You find someone that can do a custom tune for you and adjust all those parameters you're missing and we'll take up a collection to pay for it.

Everybody understands your point. You bought something that didn't do what you wanted it to do on some non-binding promise that it would/might do it sometime in the future. I bought something that did what I wanted/expected it to do when I bought it. You got screwed. DS puts their resources where they get the most return. Lots of businesses do that. Apparently '03 trucks looking for more than the canned tunes and supplied adjustments are not it. You're collateral damage. Get over it. Go buy a a 6 year old Hypertech and move on with your life.

i own both the predator and the hypertech for my 03 hemi ram and ill tell u now before i ran the predator i was running the hypertech on a canned tune with firmer shift higer speed rating and higher rev limit and it ran well till it blew up at 68,000 and the trans at 72,000 and i blame the hypertech for that but what im doing now is stacking the progamers im running the hyperech for the rev limit and the higher speed and the predator for the engine tune ya it sucks but at least it gives us what we want till diablo gets off there ass and take care of there customers you are not te first and def not the last to bitch about there promise we r all pissed! because even with a cmr from diablo the rev limt higer speed trans control are still not an option for a 03 so for now stacking seems to b the only option

You're gonna blow another motor with it stacked. They're both advancing the timing, which is gonna give you a stupid amount of advance, serious knock and burnt pistons.

Oh. Sorry, I read catsltd as saying that the Hypertech did everything the Predator did and included all the missing bits... that's what he made it sound like anyway.

quick i'd have to agree with u on catsltd post does sound like hes running both programers in which id have to agree with mike and the motor is going to blow if you are going to stack programers make sure there not boh doing the same job!
