7193 issues

Post by Scooter88 »

Alright heres the deal. I have the u7193 that i sent to you all and got updated with latest revision. bought the programmer used. Have been messing around with shift points and other parameters and have found that they are not doing anything to the vehicle! The tune writes fine and i can feel difference from stock but anythin adjustable is not working. Guess thats why my speedo wouldnt correct so johan wrote me s custom tune. Im pretty sure this is why my lifts keep saying to keep give them -7 more on dslogredux when ive already went -7. I was curious and so to test it i turned my idle all the way up and it didnt make any difference after i wrote the tune and started the truck. Same thing with shift points-bumped them and rev limit up and not seeing any difference. Not sure what the prob is but its frustrating me! Im sure we could custom tune it all but i want to have the option of changing stuff. ever heard of this? Only mod that i can think of that would of messed with any of it is,is a while back i had my fan pins activated for electric fans by black bear performance but dont think that should be getting the way of adjusting my parameters should it? Wish i knew if a new tuner would fix it but dont really have the money to spend on it. If you could get it figured out i would appreciate it so terrible much. Ive attached the original backup, that custom tire size tune you wrote for me,and then the custom with shift points changed in it so you can look and see whats going on. I might make mention i had a ol superchips programmer(no im not impressed with them) that would change my shift points etc.., so dont think its my PCM. I will send my PCM and tuner to you if it would help figure it out. Im at a loss! Sent you a email with tunes attached also johan. Thanks,Scott

I second follow that motion to find out what is the difference on that 08 crom? Is it just tuner specific or does it actually fixes something on most of the tuners. Meaning the U7193, I mean was something changed to compensate for an issue all the tuners are having or is it just solely created for the guy that started this post?

So any one can explain this to us? Thank you very much!

Mikel,

Will this be able to fix the issue that I had since day one on getting the tire size correct? As it seems that for some reason is not working as it show that I am 3 miles slower than GPS. I have a U7193 rev9r07 and running 275-55/20, I do not mind being off on the speedometer but it sure does gets annoying. help me please :-)
