MAF.i.a issues....

Post by shznit »

I am having issues with my MAF.i.a right out of the box. When I hook it up in-between the factory harness & the MAF (using setting 2) and check it on my Predator, I get no voltage reading then it spits out a code for low voltage MAF. I looked at all of the pins to make sure nothing was bent. No luck. Any ideas?

What is the actual code number? Make and model of your vehicle?

Low/no voltage MAF issues are almost always a bad connection, unless the wires are under sized or way to long, or both. Make sure all the connectors are clean and that none are bent to the point of not connecting. Make sure the connections are snug and there are no breaks in any of the wires. Remove the MAF.i.a and clear the code, drive a while to make sure you do not throw the code again. Inspect all the wires and connectors and try the MAF.i.a again.

MAF.i.a issues...

I'm driving an '04 Cobra. The only time the code happens is when the MAF.i.a is plugged in-between the MAF & the factory harness. I've checked both ends of the MAF.i.a and haven't found any connector issues. The thing is its a 7 pin connector & pretty straight forward. This is a brand new unit out of the box. Plug & play... Of course it has to happen to me.. LOL.

Yes RWTD has it set up for setting # 2. Even then it still should read voltage (it reads 0 whenever hooked up. Its either one of the pin connectors or wires in-between i'm sure.
