How can I better my ST Retard?

I have done some data loggin and found that at about 5000 RPM's, I get a ST retard of 4 deg. Is this normal? what can I do to better this?

A little information about the vehicle would be helpful.
The apostrophe does not mean "Look out, here comes an S"!

"I couldn't care less" means it is impossible to care less - "I could care less" just makes you look stupid.

4 degrees is definitely higher than desirable. Generally adding fuel or pulling spark in the rpm range that it's happening in will reduce the knock retard

Thanks for the help 09Laramie. I will try the fuel first and see what that gets me.
