Hi, I have a GM Predator tuner that a friend gave me. The Serial number is 050991 the ID is de86ec98dff04672. the BIOS is V 6.01 and I guess the software is version 1.03. What do I have and Can I use it? I have a 01 chevy 1500 hd with a 6.0 liter gas and an 06 same truck. Does this programmer have the capabilities to program to 87 octane? HELP. Thanks

I'm going to need more info here....what does the tool say on the screen as it is booting up?
Sounds like a 99-02 GM gas tool which is the U7198, but not sure.

"Predator", loading bios 6.01 , version 1.03 the paperwork indic ates that it is for the 99-02 GM Gas but I did not know the U7 # If it is a U7198 can it be unlocked and re-tuned with 87 octane and all of the newer programs??
