Greetings,
Can I adjust my AT downshift points? Am using the U7140 w/ the 87 octaine performace tune, traction control off & tire revs adjusted for the size on the car.
On my '05 Mustang V6 4.0L w/ an automatic tranny, I find the downshifts are slower to engage than I would like. Seems the higher the gear I'm in, the more throttle I have to apply. Then, it'll more often than not, drop down 2 gears [pretty aggresively] when I apply a lot of throttle.
What I'd like is to be able to get a quicker downshift when desired. The time I'd like this the most is when doing between 30 to 50 mph to get a quicker response for street acceration. Not looking for WOT adjustments, just "regular" street useage.
Thanks in advance!

I would suggest you find a CMR dealer and go over your goals with him.Parva wrote:Greetings,

So, are you saying that my Diablo Predator is of no use for the issue of a "slow" AT tranny kickdown without further costs? Is this correct?
Thanks,
Parva

RE: Re: Quicker Downshifts Question
Pretty much...downshift changes require some more in depth mods than a simple adjustable parameter in the tool.
Thanks
Mike

Is there a particular shop in central or south Palm Beach County that you think might have some better experience in this matter? I mean, specifically the downshift rate in an '05 Mustang V6?
Again,
Thanks,
Parva
