Hi,
Just installed Diablosport Predator Tune on my 2006 Pontiac GTO, 6 Speed, with Corsa Sport Exhaust, Volant Cool Air Intake, Pedders Track 1 Suspension, Hotchkis Sway Bars. Car seems to be running perfectly.
I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I went through the installation process with out a problem and I am wondering how I can tell if the U7191 tune loaded properly into my car's CPU. It has rained here all day in Tampa, so I haven't had a chance to really open the car up and challenge it. I did notice that the 1 to 4 skip shift was still active. I thought the Diablosport tune would eliminate the 1 to 4 skip shift. I was also wondering how I could make sure the tune program was for 93 octane gas, since we have that here in Florida.
Basically, please let me know if there is anything I need to do in order to make sure the tune was accepted properly into my car's CPU. The handheld programmer seemed to show everything went well with the upload. It ended with an option to reboot. I did not do that of course.
Also, is there a way to get rid of the 1 to 4 skip shift in the car using the tuner. Finally, how do I make sure I am getting the fullest potential of 93 octane fuel.
Thanks for your time. My buddies love this tuner and I am looking forward to pushing the car to its fullest potential. (Next track day scheduled at Sebring Raceway in late August).
Best regards,
Dean

Look under options>show last tune written.
This will show you what the tool wrote to the PCM.
What tune did you install? The Diablo or 91 octane tune will automatically disable CAGS on any of the latest updates.
What revision do you have.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. I installed the Diablo tune, or at least thought I did. As far as latest updates or revision, I have no idea. I just bought the unit brand new from MarylandSpeed.com. I'll check the box, but more importantly, I will go out to the garage now and try to reinstall the tune. I'll let you know what I find.

RE: New Predator U7191 on 2006 Pontiac GTO - Have Questions
Mike,
I went out to the car and hooked up the Diablosport Predator to my GTO. I looked under options and the unit said that the last installed tune was the "Diablo Tune". I went put my factory stock tune back on the car. I then reloaded the "Diablo Tune" back onto my car. The handheld unit read that the Diablo Tune had been added to my car and it was okay to unplug the device. I went ahead and unplugged it. I just took the car for a drive around the neighborhood and everything works properly (AC, PW, Radio, Cruise, locks, etc.), and the car drives normally.
The first to fourth gear shift lockout is still there. Your post said that this should be disabled. Quite honestly, I don't notice much of a change with the Diablo Tune on it. I don't know what I am supposed to notice actually. I do know that the first to fourth gear shift lockout is still there and I expected this to be removed. Could there be something with the flash tuner? It is brand new, just being purchased from MarylandSpeed.com. Box says U7191 Predator for 05-06 GTO (I have 2006 GTO, LS2, 6 spd manual).
I have a couple of my friends who have bought and used these Diablosport tuners and they love them. I am just worried I am not doing something properly or the unit may be malfunctioning. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions and help me.

I started with the 91 Octane tune for my GTO and went from there. The CAGS was turned off and did gain 14rwhp.
*1) Restore factory tune, 2) Update Predator to 8r08, 3) Install 91 Octane tune.
