jus received my predator in the mail, plug it in and error, then call in to diablosport, absolutely no help at all! so after going and spending another $60 on cords to make the newest update, i try to do that and well no luck there. i sure hope this predator lives up to the hype once its all resolved or i will be a very un-pleased customer.

also, IF it all pans out will i have any problems with running the 93 octane tune with a cai and exhaust?

What kind of error? Not if but once it pans out, it will be great with those mods. You will just have to do some adjusting of your Long Term Fuels Trims which instructions are here:

Only thing it will let me do is modify the stock tune. But I tried it on my friends 2008 5.3 with the same mods and it uploaded on his truck. Why does it work on his and not mine?

I don't know, but don't forget to put his back to stock if you didn't. Until you do the Predator will be tied to his truck.

It's on his truck still, I figure it might as well get used until I get it working on mine. So far I'm disappointed, sure hope this thing works soon.

You need to download dsdownloader and install update R13 that is here:

That will probably fix your problem. Make sure you restore your friends stock tune before doing the update.

O ok. Well thanks, but I'm still confused on why it works on his and not mine. If it's an update problem shouldn't it not work on his? Once it's updated will it still work on his?

GM comes out with software updates on there ECMs that run your truck. When the updates come out, Diablosport needs to make changes in their software to support it. Your friend probably has a older (supported) ECM update then you.

It will work on his also. However, it will only allow you to tune one vehicle at a time. Once it tunes a vehicle, it is married to that vehicle and cannot be used on any other vehicle until the stock tune is restored. The Predator update just adds support for the new ECM program updates and maintains support for the older ECM updates.

When running dsdownloader, you will do auto connect under options. Once it finds your tool, you will want to send crom file to tool. Follow directions from there.

did your truck ever work when your downloaded to r13? ive tried it on mine and nothing!! gota send your CALID and original backup to diablo support (this is what i was told to do and what i am going to do tomarrow morning)..

well i called diablo and as ppl say they told me the same send it to this email!! well im not to happy i understand they need time to add some that have been left out but dont tell us to send it in and they'll get to it! at least give the customer some satisfaction of owning one and be as helpful as they can! i waited 30 min to get on the phone and was talkn to the guy for bout 3 min!! i just dont see how things can get done if all of the ppl that dont have support send to ONE email!! I mean how many ppl look at this email? just one?

I agree. U call and hold for that long and then it is really no help at all.
